Hi Melissa :)

Here's my tip to get over your writer's block - READING!

I read a lot of Canadian blog posts every day, and they help me come up with new ideas. When reading around topics you are interested in, keep a pen and paper handy, and jot down every random thought that pops into your head - EVERY random thought, no matter how mad!!

You're bound to come up with some good ideas.

As someone who has previously made his living from the words he writes, I completely understand writer's block. The best way to get over it? Keep writing. I have over 100 draft blog posts in Wordpress that I'll probably never publish — but I wrote them. And while most of them are of low-to-mediocre quality, forcing myself to write even when I don't have the inspiration made that inspiration come back a whole lot quicker.

So my tip? Keep writing. Write things that aren't good, that aren't inspired. Write things that make you cringe. Just write. You don't have to share it all, but you'll soon realize that your muse was just on a brief vacation and hasn't run away at all.
